Lets be realistic for a minute. Most of the time we can coax baby out for their pics but sometimes they just flat out refuse! Sometimes its a bit of luck on the day.
Some babies face the wrong way, snuggle in to their placenta or fold in half with both feet over their face! Some decide today isn't the day. It happens to the best of us.
I will always take the time we need & try everything we can to bring bub into view. But if they decide not to come out to play, you get a free return visit to try again with the
'Before You Bloom' and 'The Heirloom' scan packages.
Please note: The Free Return is for the above two scan packages only. The 'Maybe Baby' scan takes the risk!

Hi, I'm Edina. A mum of three, a sonographer with years of obstetric scanning behind me, and the one who'll be right beside you for every minute of your scan. I know the particular feeling of a longed-for pregnancy, the weight of a loss because I've carried it too. That tender mix of hope and held breath is the whole reason BellyView exists.
Diagnostic scans matter enormously, but they can be quick, clinical and sometimes a little lonely. So I made something gentler. A warm room in my Reedy Creek home, soft lighting, a big screen, comfy seats for your whole crew, and all the time in the world. Somewhere a first-timer with butterflies, or a fourth-time mum who knows the drill, can just sit back and enjoy her baby.
FAQ's
do i need a referral?
No referral is necessary to have a scan at BellyView!
Our scans are elective, non-diagnostic scans only. They are for your enjoyment & bonding experience. They DO NOT replace your diagnostic medical ultrasounds. Please ensure you have had a dating scan prior to visiting.
when is the best time for 3D pictures?
We can capture your baby in 3D best after 20 weeks. For the cutest chubby cheeks, 30 - 35 weeks is ideal.
It's best to book a couple of weeks earlier for twins, around 26 weeks.
(Please remember, great 3D pictures need fluid around baby's face.)
am i guaranteed to get 3D face pictures?
We ALWAYS strive to obtain the cutest face images for you & may even ask you to have a sweet drink, a quick walk around or change positions. Anything to get those pictures!
Unfortunately though, there are times when bub is just not in a good position for a photo shoot. Many factors impact the quality of images especially the amount of amniotic fluid surrounding bubs face, the position of your placenta, baby's limbs, umbilical cord and the mothers BMI.
If you book either of our ‘Before You Bloom’ or ‘The Heirloom’ scans & we cannot get an image of bub’s face, we offer one free return scan to try again
should i do anything to prepare?
The amount of fluid around baby can greatly influence the quality of images we can obtain. Please drink plenty of water in the week before your scan is booked. A couple of litres every day can help ensure there is sufficient fluid surrounding baby & help us to see that chubby face.
If you are less than 16 weeks, please drink 500mls of water one hour before your scan & hold your bladder.
where are you located?
Our home studio is in Reedy Creek within The Observatory. The address will be supplied when you book.
We are located 5 mins from Exit 85 on the motorway. There is off street parking out the front for your convenience. Please make your way through the pedestrian gate & you will see our purpose built entry into the studio.
Our resident german shepherd will have already alerted us to your arrival! Don’t worry, she is locked up safe & cannot access the entry way.
what is your cancellation policy?
We take a booking deposit to try to eliminate ‘no shows’ that take up limited available appointment spots. This deposit is taken off the total cost of your scan.
We understand that life happens & you may not be able to make your appointment. If you cancel at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, you can simply reschedule or request your deposit to be returned to you.
Not showing up at all, will forfeit your deposit. Please understand that this available time slot has been taken from someone else & we will still be here waiting for you!
For our 'Outside of Opening Hours' reassurance ultrasound, the entire fee will be taken over the phone in order to book this service. This cost is non-refundable.
how many people can i bring?
We love to have your family & friends come along to experience our studio with you. There is comfortable seating for 4 adults on our lounge plus there is floor room & toys for kids to come along too! We've had groups of 10 squeeze in! If your crew are happy to fit in somewhere, then we are happy to have them.
